When your dreams are better than reality, why wake up?
GIRL finds herself stuck between states: Sydney and Melbourne; grief and recovery; dreaming and waking. Caught in an endless January, she finds herself with no job, no friends and no path forward. When she begins compulsively dreaming about her high school crush, she develops an obsession that sends her further and further down into the dream world, and is forced to confront what she’s spent so long running from.
From Gumboot Theatre Company (Articulate, Confessional), written by Lucy Nunn (Crave, Big Love) & Lilian James ('Truth, Dare, Pash', Tales from the Apocalypse) and directed by Henry Kent (The River, Out for the Count), this new contemporary one woman show Dreaming of You explores the blending of reality and fantasy both in form and content.
